Sorry to hear about Tyler's asthma. I hope he is feeling better. Sick kids is the worst! My daughter is PA and has mild ezcema and I have wondered about her developing asthma later on as she tends to be a little more prone to coughing.

I wish we could find such a good allergist....I had a couple of questions that the nurse couldn't answer one time about my son's testing...so she suggested I speak with the doctor himself. I said that's fine-he can call me anytime. She said that I needed to schedule an appointment to speak with the doctor and it was fine for me to bring ALL three of my small children to this appointment-ARE YOU KIDDING ME MAN?? Why would I come in (drag all my kids with me to an office)just to ask him two questions??!! When the nurse convinced him to just call me and answer my questions he was quite rude like he was sooooo important and I was taking up his time. I wish we had a good allergist. :-( Karen in NC

Hope he continues to get better. We've had to use the nebulizer a few times. My daughter got croup once when she was younger and now whenever, she gets sick, she gets a harsh cough with it.

You're right about having a good allergist. We had a wonderful one, going there was always a very pleasant experience, she was so good, patient and helpful as was her staff. She had to take a leave of absence to attend to family matters, there is a replacement, but I haven't tried them yet. Although this year, I think we are going to switch pediatricians, (non allergy reasons). It's a group practice and we have one we like and the other, we do not like at all.

I am sorry to hear about Tyler's asthma. My son David has asthma along with his peanut allergy. I am familiar with nebulizer and inhaler treatments. Sometimes it makes me sad but mostly I try to be thankful that we have the medicine to help him.

Looking forward to your upcoming post! My oldest daughter deals with the "triangle" of food allergies as well. At one point last year for an entire month we were giving her breathing treatments every two hours, which was rough for a then two year old. Thankfully for now she does not need her nebulizer.

I'm glad to hear that your family's allergist also makes follow-up phone calls in addition to office visits. I don't know what we would have done without the wonderful allergist that we take my daughter to see - he and his staff really are fabulous.
