Thanks for mentioning it. I first heard about the hearing about a week ago on http://allergickid.blogspot.com/2008/08/fda-seeks-food-allergen-labeling.html. It's the hot topic right now, and rightfully so. I am still trying to decide what to say, but I definitely will give the FDA my 2 cents. It sounds like they think the "may contains" statements aren't very helpful.
