That seems to be the question! Thanks to all of you who have emailed me to see if I have fallen off the planet. (I apologize to those of you who haven't received a reply yet. I will!) For the two or three of you who are still reading the blog, I am still alive. I promise!
I apologize for not announcing my unexpected absence. I kept thinking I would be back into the swing of things. Yet, I didn't.
So, where was I? Well, coping with my own health problems that, thankfully, are not food allergy related. Yet, they have been life changing, nonetheless. I have spent the last few weeks desperately trying to get a handle on my own health where there doesn't seem to be a lot of answers. I am doing a tremendous amount of research.
One thing many of my readers may find very interesting is that many of the dietary changes that I have made in the last few months, and particularly the last few weeks, have causes Tyler's eczema to completely disappear! I still can't believe it was as simple as a few simple changes has helped him be rash free for the first time in his life.
I'm sure I will be sharing my journey over the last few weeks. If you are interested in healthier eating and a lifestyle in general, you might like those posts. For me, sharing this journey will be a bit of a catharsis.
Even though my health problems are not food allergy related, FA's are touching me in very real ways. The dietary changes I must make have forced me to contact companies to make sure the new foods I must eat are safe for for other two nut allergy family members. This has been a draining process!
Thank you so much to those of you that are still checking this blog. There were moments when I felt totally overwhelmed with my own problems that I felt like stopping the blog. Sometimes writing about my son's (and now my husband) nut allergy is depressing. Yet, knowing I help others is why I do it. But hearing from some of you (many of you are people I have never met face to face) reminds me that this blog is needed. It is something I can write while I deal with my own health problems. Food allergies are my passion!
I would love to hear in the comments from some of you what you would like me to cover in some upcoming posts. I'm going back to square one to start planning posts. In addition, I may only blog 3 days a week for the next few weeks so I can devote some time to research for my own health issues. By the fall, I hope to be back to my regular schedule.
Thanks again for all the support! I would love to know what and where you would like to see the blog covering.

I'm a new reader, getting ready to send my PA (and egg-allergic) daughter to a new preschool. While she's only in a 1/2 day class, they will eat lunch there. Her previous preschool did not allow food-allergic kids to stay for lunch bunch. The new school is integrated into a local elementary school, so district and state school policies regarding food-allergic children/EpiPens/other medications apply to her. However, I know that there's still going to be more to this experience than I anticipate. I am seeking out information from other PA moms about sending PA kid(s) to school (I'm planning to join the twitter party this week!).
I have definitely missed your posts and hope that you are doing better soon. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts. I would love to see posts about PA kids entering school. My daughter begins Kindergarten in the fall and I am glad it is just 1/2 day. I am so nervous for the day she is there all day. Write when you can!

Welcome back, Robyn! Sorry to hear about your health problems. I hope you get the answers you need soon.
My PA son (3 1/2)had a mystery reaction yesterday. We were in Walmart on the candy aisle where someone was unpacking a box of bagged candy. Don't know if this was what caused it, or something on the buggy, or something else... very frustrating to not know what caused it. He is ok now. I gave him 2 doses of Benadryl and it worked.
Glad you are back!

I am so sorry to hear about your health problems. You have such a wonderful attitude. I'll have to give your question (about blog posts) some thought. Like RLR, I am gearing up for sending my PA child to school. That's my main focus right now. He starts K this fall. Take care of yourself! So glad to see you are back!
Finally! :) I'm definetly looking forward to hearing what changes you made to clear up the eczema. My dd suddenly flared up and we are trying everything we can think of.
Great to see you back. Wishing you well.
Robyn, I am so glad to see you back...I was really getting worried about you! I did email you (Karen from NC). I'm so sorry to hear about your health issues. However, I'm glad to hear that Tyler's excema is gone! That's fantastic! As for future posts I would like to hear about your daily dealings with peanut allergies-precautions you take-conversations you have with other Moms, how others react to pa in your area....etc. My oldest will be in first grade in the Fall in a school that serves pb. My 2nd child will be starting pre-k for the first time (and I don't even know where)...So happy to see you back!
I'm so glad to hear that you are still out there! I have been checking in frequently to see how things were going.
I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with health issues. Though I am interested to hear all of what you have learned.
Your blog is such a valuable resource, and I'm glad to hear that you are not having to totally give that up. You have been such an encouragement and wealth of knowledge in the PA world. It has given me a confidence that I did not have before.
I too am very glad to see you back. I was starting to get very concerned. I pray that you health issues get better and you find the answers that you need.
Your blog has been a great resource and encouragement to me. I look forward to more when you are able.
Hi! I'm a new reader, and so glad to hear you are back. I have a 7 y.o. PA daughter who is also allergic to eggs. Stumbling onto your blog has really helped especially during those days when you just feel alone when it comes to FA's. Thank you for that!
I'd love to for you to share your food suggestions, recipes, lunchbox ideas you may have:) With school fast approaching this is a topic I struggle with.
I enjoy reading your blog. Curious to hear what type of dietary changes helped with the eczema. This is a problem for me. It recently was acting up, and we just spent a week at the beach, and I will say the salt water really helped and was very soothing on the skin.
