Medical Alert Bracelet Envy

Sunday morning in church, Tyler's medical alert bracelet was the hit with the kids. He has been wearing it since July but one child took notice this week. According to Tyler, the child took his bracelet off of his arm (which I had to talk to Tyler about) and started carrying it around and saying he wanted a bracelet like Tyler.

The teachers quickly scrambled to create a craft where they made bracelets. Of course, these had Bible verses on them, rather than medical information. By the end of class, one of the teachers had found some cloth bracelets that were very similar to Tyler's only with sayings like "WWJD." She handed those out, as well.

Who knew a three year old could make bracelets cool?

I could tell that Tyler was excited that he got attention for his special bracelet. He has been so good to wear it, only removing it for baths. Now I have a feeling, he will be even more proud to wear it!

Yay for the bracelet! When the school nurse met my son (peanut allergic) she was shocked that he had one one-she said she'd never seen one on a child with food allergies. She seemed impressed! k

Our son just got his bracelet. He is 16 months old. He hated it at first, but we have been calling it his "Super Bracelet". We hold our arm up like super man. Now if we ask to see his "super bracelet" he proudly holds up his little arm. Let's hope we can keep him from taking it off whenever he wants.

I just found out my 14 month old daughter has a severe peanut allergy. I want to order her a medical alert bracelet but I'm not sure what info to put on it... any advice or suggestions.

No need to answer the above question. I found your post about the bracelet for your son.

Thank you so much for this blog! I'm feeling very lost right now and I know I will find a lot of answers here. God bless you!
