How can you go wrong with free? While I have not personally done this myself since we just bought one, I have read of others who have. So, if you are interested, visit http://medicalert.org/Main/KidSmart.aspx. I believe you need to mention offer #5000. Not only does this get you a free bracelet, it also enrolls you in a one year membership with MedicAlert where they will keep your phone numbers and other pertinent information on file in the event of an emergency. You can also call 1-888-904-7629 for this offer.
This offer is only while supplies last. I have read of others doing it this week so there must still be a supply. But, hurry if you are all about FREE!!

For those interested in Tyler's type of bracelet, I purchased his at petitebaublesboutique.com. (We purchased this one.) What I like about these bracelets is that you they offer custom engraving on the front and back. This allowed me to put what I wanted on each side. (Read more about that here.) With shipping, his bracelet cost me a little under $40.

Thank you for linking to the bracelet company. It's good to know. They have really attractive bracelets. We have a plaint black fabric one from Medicalert but may buy additional ones. We have not used it much up till now since he was not in preschool yet. I'll keep this in mind if the current one turns out to be uncomfortable. Everything makes him itchy...
I think your blog/website is really excellent, and plan to stop back often. (I already do!) :)
I found your site and was quite pleased with the amount of helpful information and links. Thank you for listing the medical alert link. I joined and they are sending my 2 year old daughter a medic alert bracelet for FREE. This is still very new to our family. My daughter was just diagnosed and we just got an epi pen. She has NEVER had anything with peanuts so we've been very lucky so far. Your site has been very helpful and I find myself coming back to it more and more for some peace and understanding.
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this.

I just called and the offer is still going on. The bracelet offered in the standard stainless steel variety (plain, I believe).
